Scope and Content Possible henge monument at Marlefield, Perth and Kinross This possible henge was discovered as a cropmark on oblique aerial photographs. It is defined by a broad ditch which is broken by an entrance causeway on the E. The ditch of the henge is visible as a dark penannular ring in the centre of this aerial photograph. The small ring-ditch, which lies beside it, can also be seen. It too has an entrance, but this opens to the NW. Several pits can also be made out. This possible henge has been ploughed flat and is situated in the middle of a field, together with a small ring-ditch and several pits. A pit is visible in the interior of both the henge and the ring-ditch. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
