Scope and Content Cross-slab at Rosemarkie, Ross and Cromarty, Highland This cross-slab was found under the floor of the old church in Rosemarkie. It was found in two pieces, and the top and base are lost. Even so, it is a spectacular example of a carved stone. It is now in Groam House Museum. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. The upper panel has three crescent and V-rods, a double-disc and Z-rod, two mirrors and a comb. The lower one has a cross and key-work. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
