Scope and Content Cross-slab known as St Martin's Stone at Balluderon, Angus This cross-slab stands in a field at Balluderon. This is its earliest recorded position. The stone faces E and is carved on one side only. The top part of the stone has broken off. This is a drawing of the stone which appeared in John Stuart's 1856 publication 'The Sculptured Stones of Scotland'. At the top is the base of a cross and a horseman. Below this is a second horseman, a Pictish Beast and a serpent and Z-rod. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
