Scope and Content A bedchamber with a four poster bed, chairs, tables and a musical instrument; a plain ceiling, and large tapestry panels decorating the walls. A carved linen chest or kist stands at the foot of the William and Mary bed; candlesticks and other ornaments are on display. Blair Castle is the seat of the Duke of Atholl; it holds a fine collection of tapestry, including a Brussels tapestry made for King Charles I, sold by order of Oliver Cromwell and purchased at a later date by the 1st Duke of Atholl, Earl of Tullibardine.
