Scope and Content The interior of a choir with pews and chairs facing the central aisle which leads up to the altar with a stained glass window above. There are large monuments on the left and on either side of the altar. There are Gothic arcaded seating niches (sedilia) and a piscina to the right of the altar opposite a huge columned baroque monument to left. The monuments beside the altar have inscriptions on the plinths with support obelisks bearing coats of arms. The stone roof has a pointed barrel vault with ribs. The Baroque monument is to the 3rd Duke of Douglas (d.1694) and the monuments on each side of the altar are to the first two Earls of Forfar (d. 1712 and 1715).
