Scope and Content The tall slender steeple of a ruined priory rises above the remains of a church and cloister. A field full of wild flowers stands before the ruins with mature trees around and wooded hill in the distance. The tower abuts on to the ruins of the choir which has slim lancet windows and survives to roof height. The nave roof line is visible on the tower and the remains of the priory buildings stand on the right. The tower stands on the remains of King Nechtan's church, with a 13th century church and Augustinian priory built round it. The octagonal spire is 15th century in date.
