Scope and Content A small, wood panelled room with a sash window and stone niche, in which there is a desk and a padded foot stool and pictures on the walls. The picture beside the altar niche represents the 'Battle of the Clans', which took place on the North Inch at Perth in 1396. The house was once the Glovers' Hall. It gained fame in Sir Walter Scott's novel, 'The Fair Maid of Perth' as the imagined residence of the heroine, Catherine Glover.
