Scope and Content Bathers are sitting on a stepped platform beside a large swimming pool and standing round the edge. There is a concrete diving tower, and stepped terraces surround the pool, with an Art Deco building on the far side. People are preparing to dive from the top of the tower and many people are swimming in the water. Crowds of people are watching the swimming from the stands. There are flags and a clock on the top of the building. A roller coaster ride is on the right. The pool is 330ft long by 150ft wide with a diving tower of five diving stages from 12ft to 32.75ft; artificial waves 3ft high can be generated. There is space for 6000 spectators and lockers for 1284 bathers. It cost £90,000 to build.
