Scope and Content View over a walled lawn in front of a Victorian Gothic castle with turrets and towers. There is a flagpole on the roof. This Victorian Gothic castle was built on the ruins of one built in 1660 by the Earl of Caithness. The earlier castle was home to Sir John Sinclair who produced the 'Old Statistical Account'. It has since fallen into ruin and been restored.
