Scope and Content A lochside hotel with a path leading down to boats beached on the foreshore. Behind is a bridge spanning a burn and waterfalls, with a densely wooded hill beyond. Lochside hotel with path leading down to boats on foreshore; bridge spanning burn and falls; densely wooded hill behind. Inversnaid is MacGregor country. The MacGregors were loyal Jacobites and it was to Inversnaid that they brought all the boats they had seized in Loch Lomond during the 1715 Rising, only to have them quickly retaken by Hanoverian troops.
