Scope and Content An open-top horse drawn coach laden with passengers in travelling clothes, crossing a single-arched stone bridge spanning a river. Lettering on the coachwork states "Callander and Loch Katrine". Visitors had been attracted to the area following the publication of Sir Walter Scott's "The Lady of the Lake" and "Rob Roy", and with the opening of the Fred Bateman Waterworks. The bridge is near Loch Venachar.
