Scope and Content A large Gothic church stands on the top of a wooded slope in the centre of a small village. The rough road divides round the church with stone cottages lining the roads and a shop on the right. A boy, wearing a long apron, stands beside a standpipe in the middle of the small green in the foreground. A horse and cart stand waiting on the right. The church is set in a raised churchyard with a stone revetting wall. The 19th century cruciform church incorporates a tower of 1628 and a chancel of 1623. In the graveyard is a reassembled Pictish cross slab once used as a drain cover. A canal was built to take the local family, the Woods, from Largo House to the church.
