Scope and Content A single arched stone bridge spanning the wooded banks of a narrow river, with a woodland walk, left. Large buildings on the right bank are glimpsed through the arch. Tweed was once manufactured in Innerleithen and nearby Walkerburn (now the site of the Scottish Museum of Wool Textiles). Alexander Brodie, who began life as a blacksmith at Traquair, brought the first wool mills to the area in 1790.
