Scope and Content A substantial mansion house with a balustraded roof and decorated stonework, set in a formal garden with box hedges, an ornamental urn and topiary. There is a fountain in the ornamental pond. The chimneys are of decorated brickwork. Falkland House was a seat of the Marquis of Bute. It later became the property of Fife Council.
