Scope and Content A large carpet bedding display in the form of a clock, with fleur-de-lis and other decorative patterns around the face planted on a sloping surface. Low large leaved plants set in low bedding plants form a pattern round the clock face. The clock has Roman numerals and floral hands. The buildings in the background beyond the iron railings are the department stores and offices on Princes Street. This was the first floral clock in the country and has been replanted each year. See JV-A4526 for the 1936 clock and JV-A6909 for 1938.
