Scope and Content A substantial house of stone construction with a balustrade above the portico and domed section on the roof. The grounds are planted with specimen trees. Elie House dates in part from the 17th century and has been much modified over the centuries. It was used as a convent in the 20th century. Elie began as a fishing village and is now a holiday resort.
