Scope and Content A ruined tower house of typical Scottish style, sited on the edge of much eroded coastal cliffs. The man posed below the castle is possibly there to indicate scale. Keiss Castle is sited on Sinclair's Bay. The keep is the remains of a feudal tower. Excavations on Keiss Links in 1864 exposed cists containing human remains and implements from the stone age.
