Scope and Content A suspension bridge spanning a densely wooded gorge with precipitous cliff faces; steep hills are seen beyond the ravine. Corrieshalloch Gorge is a mile long and 200 feet deep. The Measach Falls cascade 150 feet down the gorge. An observation bridge affords a spectacular view of the falls and gorge further downstream. The suspension bridge was constructed by John Fowler, who engineered the Forth Road Bridge.
