Scope and Content A group of men are seated on an inner circle of upright stone slabs which supports the surrounding ring cairn. A further cairn with a single standing stone stands on the crest of a hillock at mid distance with a wooded hill behind. The outer ring of stone slabs and an outlying standing stone can be seen just beyond the men. The men are wearing tweed jackets and trousers with cloth hats and homburgs. At nearby Kinrara Jane Duchess of Gordon made her home in 1770, a hundred tenants being moved to free the land. Her husband raised the 100th Regiment from around the area and this later became the Gordon Highlanders.
