Category On-line Digital Images
Scope and Content An arched bridge, partly hidden by trees and bushes, spanning a road and a rocky riverbed, with mixed woodland along the banks. A mountain range is seen through the arcade. The road is narrow and fenced. This carries the West Highland line across the River Morar which flows out of Loch Morar. The Jacobite Lord Lovat went into hiding on one of the wooded islets in Loch Morar in June 1746, to escape government troops in the wake of the abortive Rebellion.
