Scope and Content A metal girder bridge supported on stone arched piers, reflected in the mouth of a sea loch. Waterside buildings are seen framed within the arches on the near bank. The bridge opened in 1903. It was built to take a railway over the narrows at Falls of Lora. Prior to the bridge opening passengers were ferried over this dangerous stretch of water from landfall at one waterside inn to another. It is now a road bridge.
