Scope and Content Square tower with doorway on a hilltop overlooking a turreted castle by river and village on a promontory jutting out into a long loch. Fields and woods along the loch with hills fading into the distance beyond. Partly ruined random rubble tower with a ramp up to the doorway and a small window at the side. It has a stepped roof with slates round base and shrubs growing out of the stones. This is an 18th century watchtower built by the Duke of Argyll when he rebuilt the castle and the village.
