Scope and Content Several people round large ornate fountain with crown steeple in centre. Lions rampant on the upper rim of the crown and topped with a statue. Several paired jets of water rising out of the basin and round the central structure. Paths and lawns round fountain with mature trees in hollow beyond. Church with crown steeple rising above buildings on skyline. The Stewart Memorial Fountain, built in 1872 by James Sellars, to commemorate Lord Provost Stewart who was responsible for organising Glasgow's water supply from Loch Katrine.
