Scope and Content Back view of a crowd of men and women assembled below a stone statue of a kilted soldier set on rustic stone plinth. The women are in hats and coats, many men dressed in soldier's uniform and wearing glengarries. The head of loch is visible below the crowd and there are craggy mountains in the background. There is a stepped quarry face beyond the cottages at the edge of the loch. The memorial is commemorating the dead of the first World War (1914-1918).
