Scope and Content The roofless nave and tower of Dunkeld Cathedral in Perthshire is pictured on an early Spring day. Dunkeld Cathedral lies on the north bank of the River Tay in Dunkeld, 14 miles north of Perth. The present building, built between 1315 and 1501 on a site occupied as a religious centre since the time of St. Columba, was partially destroyed during the Reformation. The original Choir now serves as the Parish Church and the Chapter House as a local social history museum.
