Scope and Content General view of the small tidal island of Erraid. The row of cottages visible are constructed of Erraid granite. They were once occupied by families connected to the Dubh Artach lighthouse. They are now occupied by The Findhorn Foundation. The island of Erraid lies off the island of Mull to which it is connected by a beach at low tide. Erraid was made famous by Robert Louis Stevenson in his novel 'Kidnapped'.
