Scope and Content Loch nan Uamh ('Loch of the Caves') is a sea loch in the Lochaber peninsula in Arisaig. Famously, it is the place where Bonnie Prince Charlie arrived in 1745 and finally embarked on his escape to France afrer the failed Jacobite Rising. The spot is today marked by a stone, the "Prince's Cairn".
