Scope and Content Loch nan Ceall is a sea loch in the west of Scotland. A narrow channel separates it from the Atlantic sea. The village of Arisaig (the Safe Place) is centred on the sheltered eastern shore of the loch, nestled at the base of rocky Creag Mhor, the Sgurr an t'Sasunnaich (peak of the Englishman) and the Sgurr an Albanaich (peak of the Scotsman).
