Scope and Content Loch Fyne is a sea loch in Argyll & Bute on Scotland's west coast. It is a popular area for freshwater scuba diving and fishing, and a picturesque tourist destination. It is also widely reputed for its oyster and herring fishing. It gives its name to the locally-owned Loch Fyne Oysters and its associated chain of Restaurants, while its herrings are smoked to make the famous Loch Fyne Kippers. Inveraray is a picturesque small town on the banks of Loch Fyne. It is a former royal burgh, the traditional county town of Argyll, and the ancestral home to the Duke of Argyll.
