Scope and Content Loch Fyne is a sea loch in Argyll & Bute on Scotland's west coast. It is a popular area for freshwater scuba diving and fishing, and a picturesque tourist destination. It is also widely reputed for its oyster and herring fishing. It gives its name to the locally-owned Loch Fyne Oysters and its associated chain of Restaurants, while its herrings are smoked to make the famous Loch Fyne Kippers. The ruins of Castle Lachlan can be seen in the foreground with Minard on the other side of the loch
