Scope and Content Loch Goil is a small fjord-like sea loch in Scotland, which is an arm of Loch Long. The village of Lochgoilhead stands at its head. It is located in the Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, Only an hour from the Erskine Bridge, Glasgow Airport the M8 and Glasgow. Carrick Castle lies on the west shore 4 miles (6.4 km) south of Lochgoilhead. The photo shows the entrance to Loch Goil on the left and Loch Long continuing northward on the right toward the village of Arrochar at its top.
