Scope and Content This is the entrance to Ceannacroc Power Station, one of the first underground power stations to be built in Britain. Inside the power station, the rock has been left bare on the side walls of the chamber which forms the machine hall. The 20MW capacity power station, commissioned in 1959, derives the water that drives its turbines from nearby Loch Cluanie.
