Scope and Content Quoich Power Station derives its water from Loch Quoich. It is carried by a tunnel to Quoich power station on the banks of the River Garry and has a 18.5MW capacity. This image depicts its transformers and pylon, which carry the generated electric power to the grid. An additional small power station built into the Quoich dam makes use of compensation water released to maintain the flow of the River Quoich downstream from the dam. The power station was commissioned in 1955.
