Scope and Content This view looks towards St Mark's Campanile or tower and the five domes of St. Mark's Basilica (Basilica di San Marco) in Venice. Visible in the centre is an advertisement for Scavolini, kitchen manufacturers. The Scavolini company placed large advertising billboards on The Doge's Palace in 2011 while it was being repaired. Public criticism followed and the boards were changed with the message 'We love Venice' to reflect the company's support for the cultural integrity of Venice.
