Scope and Content This a ruined Wade Bridge in the Sma Glen of the River Almond about 6 miles north of Crieff. It was built by General Wade (1673-1748), who built many roads and bridges in the Highlands, all of which aimed to impose the Hanoverian government's authority in Scotland.
