Scope and Content Drummond Castle, where Bonnie Prince Charlie reputedly lodged on the 1st February 1746. Built in 1491, Drummond Castle is 25 miles from Stobhall, and three and a half miles from Crieff. It is now the residence of Lady Willoughby de Eresby, a descendent of Sir John Drummond through the female line. Its castle gardens are sometimes called the pride and jewel of the highlands.
