Scope and Content Bonnie Prince Charlie is said to have spent the night at Fassfern House after the 'raising of the standard' at Glenfinnan in 1745. Tradition has it that he picked a white rose from the garden at Fassfern. That rose became the 'White Cockade', the emblem of the Jacobites.
