Scope and Content Ruins of the Imperial Roman Forum, Rome. The Forum in Rome is ancient marketplace located between the Capitoline and Palatine Hills in Rome. Other ancient fora in Rome and elsewhere still exist. Surrounded by Government buildings and temples, it saw many centuries of public parades and debate, trials and gladiatorial combat.
