Scope and Content Written on the back of the mounted print: ‘Shire: Fife. Place: Falkland. Building: Cameron House’. Photographer: ‘JP’ Date: ‘9.5.58’ Cameron House, High Street, Falkland, Fife Cameron House was built in the early 17th century. Its name commemorates Richard Cameron, a Covenanting preacher killed at the Battle of Airds Moss in 1680, who is said to have been born in the house. The house is to the right of the shop. At the time this picture was taken, it still had a thatched roof. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
