Catalogue Number A 58770

Category Photographs and Off-line Digital Images

Scope and Content Brunton House, Brunton Street, Falkland, Fife Brunton House was probably built in 1712, the date inscribed on an armorial panel displayed on the front. It was heavily restored in 1894-5 and 1970-1. Though built to a simple plan, the house (right) is far grander than its neighbours. The pantiles for its roof were either imported from the Netherlands as ballast, or else made in nearby Dunshelt. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
