Description Alloa, Whins Road, Brewery, Brewhouse, mezzanine floor, interior View showing heat exchanger (left), chilled liquor (water) tank right. First floor mill room area beyond. Here, the heat exchanger chills liquor (town water supply) to two degrees centigrade which is then used for heat transfer in the paraflow room (to cool the wort prior to entering fermentation). The recycled water is pumped into the chilled liquor vessel.
