Description Alloa, Whins Road, Brewery View from N on roof of brewhouse pend area of spiral heat exchanger (or copper vapour heat recovery process). The steam is fanned through the spiral heat exchanger which heats cold water going through it to about 85 degrees centigrade and is run into the tank (foreground). This hot liquor is then sent to the hot liquor tanks for use in the brewing process
