Scope and Content Intended ground-plan, St Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral, Inverness, Highland St Andrew's Episcopal Cathedral was built to designs by Alexander Ross in 1866-9 in Gothic style. The original plan was grander than the final building and included 30m spires for the two square west towers. This shows the intended ground-plan of the cathedral. The semicircular apse at the east end (left) was one of the elements omitted from the final structure as built. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
