Description Photograph of standing stone.

Catalogue Number SC 2243809

Copy of O 1698

Scope and Content Standing stone known as Stone of Setter, Eday The Stone of Setter stands by the road at the N end of Mill Loch. It is well sited, looking out over several chambered cairns. The stone would also be an important landmark for those out at sea. This is a view of the stone. It is now very weathered and this accounts for the long furrows running down its length. If anything, these add to its ancient appearance. Source: RCAHMS contribution to SCRAN.
