Scope and Content In the foreground, reclaimed ground conceals the site, near the big shed, of the Invergordon Ferry Pier, and also the Naval Dockyard's West Pier which lay further to the right. In upper right sector of image is Invergordon Church (Rosskeen Parish Church), with spire. The open green area to its left formerly housed WW2 military huts. the larger green area, top centre, was the Cromlet Tank Farm, dating from the inter-war years. The tanks were removed in 1991. At its lower edge, houses now occupy the site of the WW1 Naval Hospital (which started life as an Officers' Club), School and WW2 HMS Flora Royal Naval Shore Establishment. The long, single-storey railway station building is visible in upper left sector of image. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
