Scope and Content Mundole was the site of WW2 Forres Airfield, a satellite of RAF Kinloss from 1940-44, which subsequently housed prisoners of war and displaced personnel of the Polish Free Army. The airfield layout, including "frying pan" dispersal areas, is evident in this image. The site of a medieval tower house is in the partly wooded parcel of land to right of the "frying pan" in lower left sector of image (no remains visible in photo).
