Scope and Content Lochardil Primary School, built in 1964 is at centre left. Lochardil House Hotel is just below it, surrounded by trees. Lochardil House was built in 1876-78 and became a hotel in 1956. Stratherrick Road, which runs from bottom left to top right, divides the estates of Lochardil and Holm and the section at the Essich Roundabout takes the line of the 1726 military road.
