Scope and Content Viewhill Farm lies on the boundary of the designated area of Culloden Battlefield and is now being developed for houses (2020). No archaeology was discovered in pre-development evaluation. This farm for many years bred black horses, but latterly the farm buildings were abandoned and deteriorated. Culloden Wood runs across the centre of the photo and behind is the village of Balloch. The field behind the trees on the left is Chapelton, named for St. Mary's Chapel, though no remains can be seen. Culloden is just coming into view on the left. Title and Scope & Content contributed by North of Scotland Archaeological Society (2021).
