Scope and Content A general view centred on an area of rough ground with an apparent bank in the middle of a field. Around it lies a Pictish Barrow Cemetery, various elements of which have been recorded separately in the past. Further left and towards the top is Tarradale House surrounded by trees and just beyond a possible motte and an enclosure. In the lower left, to the right of the clump of trees is an unenclosed settlement. Fieldwalking and chance finds in the area led to the NOSAS Tarradale Through Time project which excavated Mesolithic shell middens in the fields close to the shore in 2017 and the Barrow Cemetery in 2019 -2020 adding more detail about the extensive use of the area from the Mesolithic onwards.
