Scope and Content Fortrose Academy is the only secondary school on the Black Isle, and is formed from the old Grammar school 1791, parts of the old buildings remain, and are listed. In the distance are the ruins of Fortrose cathedral. The row of houses, Deans Road, are clearly seen between the school and the cathedral.
